Day 18: Napping on a Sunday afternoon

I always forget what these little babies of mine look like in their cradle when they're little.  And I look back later and wish that I had taken more pictures of them in their cradle or crib.  So I did this time. I love the peaceful sweet look on Kaden's face when he's asleep.

Winter Soccer

...started up this week (practices two weeks ago).  The kids' first game was this last Saturday.  Kevin took these two to their games at Crossroads Park while I stayed home with Mr Zane and Maddie.  Allie was so excited that her team, The Firecrackers, won their first game!  And Collin and his team, the Sharks, tied their game.  Kevin brought home some yummy Costa Vida sweet pork salads for lunch after the game, and then we spent the rest of Saturday chillin' with the baby.

Allie moved bathrooms, and slowly working on getting her stuff moved over to what is now Collin's room - they are switching rooms so Allie and Maddie could share the bigger room.  Collin and the baby will be in the two front bedrooms and will share the jack and jill bath.  Yikes, there will be lots of repainting and redecorating the next few weeks.

Good morning Maddie!

Here is what Maddie's hair looked like when she got up this morning.  She was helping me change the baby's diaper, and she got sprayed all over in the face.  She just about cried but I got her cleaned up so fast she decided it was okay.

Day 17

Allie just loves this little guy and loves to hold him, even when he's not happy.

Day 16: Playtime

Baby is starting to be awake for longer periods now.  He loves his play gym and tracked the moving birds for quite some time.

Day 15

Kaden is content when he has a hand on his face.

Day 14: 2-week check-up

I took Kaden to his two-week check up.  Today he weighed 8 lbs 14 oz, and was 22 3/4 inches long, and his head measured 14.8 cm.  He was still a little jaundiced, but it is slowly going away.  Then we headed to the lab for his 2-week PKU test.  It was a long wait -- I ended up waiting for 2 hours!  By the time we were taken back, Kaden was crying his head off because he was hungry.  I was on the verge of tears by the time I made it back to my car around 12:30.  I had been out since 8:50 that morning!  By the time I got to talking with Kevin after I got home that day, I was in tears.  It was such a crazy day -- glad I made it and that everything went well for the baby.
