Day 182: 6 months - Master Crawler

So at 5 months Zane decided to scoot, commando crawl, and bum-shuffle around.  A few weeks later, he's got the crawling on knees and hands down-pat. He's unstoppable.  I am sitting here typing away, and he's crawling to the box of trimmers by my desk.  So cute, but now do I need a baby gate?

I took him to his 6-month well check and he weighed 15 lbs 8 oz.  - which is a net gain of 20 oz over 2 months. This puts him in the 10th percentile for weight but he was also 27.5 inches long (60th percentile).  He is such a cute little baby and I love him to pieces.

Happy Father's Day

...to all the good men in our family: My dad and father-in-law, who are great examples of faith, hard work, industry, and are such great grandfathers to our kids.  We still learn by watching our "old men".

And to the #1 man in my book:

He's the epitome of GOOD.
I know I'm always going to be 2nd in his book, because the Lord will always come first.

I'm glad he's the father of my kids.

and lucky he's mine.

6/16 Allie's 11th Birthday

Better late than never post!   Allie celebrated her 11th birthday low-key style, with just us.  She had a nice plan for the day: Breakfast in bed, presents every few hours, lunch at Paradise Bakery, ice cream at SubZero with her friends, dinner at Grimaldi's, her requested birthday cookie after dinner, and last but not least, opening her grand present at the very end.  She's a planner!
