Day 313 - Halloween!

Zane was in Utah for Halloween.  Here he is before he put on his costume:

I love that his toes are curled up like that!  He was "helping" Kevin rake the leaves in our backyard.

 Sadly I didn't get good photos of him in his tiger costume - he was way too sleepy and just wanted to cuddle with his grandma.  So my mom just had him the whole time at trunk or treat while I handed candy out to the kids.

And here he is enjoying his very first lollipop.

Day 338 - Zane's First Thanksgiving

It's so hard to believe Zane was not even here last year - he was still cooking!  Zane had a very smooth sailing First Thanksgiving - took his long nap in the morning and woke just in time to eat his Thanksgiving lunch.  He loved the fried turkey - which he ate quite a bit of, mashed potatoes, noodles, and even ate a whole entire roll all by himself.  This baby can eat!  After lunch he settled down for a long afternoon nap, and didn't wake back up until everyone left to go home.  Happy Thanksgiving from Zane!

Day 335 Balloon!

Zane loves balloons!  Today I took the kids to the dentist for their semi-annual checkups and cleaning and Zane of course got to tag along.  He loved playing with the balloons they got from the dentist's office.  He loved watching the balloon float up above his head whenever he let go.  Oh the simple joys! 

 Breakfast today was 2 pieces of buttered toast, plus some bananas.  Yes, he can eat!

Maddie always has to sneak in the photo somehow.  She is too funny!

Day 334 Bedhead

This is what Zaney looked like when he got up from his nap this morning.  I think he needs another haircut!

Day 333 Toybox Time

Zane loves non-baby toys.  He loves our family room toybox.  It has all the leftover toys that the kids might have taken from everywhere.  His most recent favorites are the Whac-a-Mole game and the telephone.

Day 332 Helping Out

So today I was gone for the whole entire day - at a Power of Moms retreat.  Kevin seamlessly took over for me just like he always does (and so willingly I might add, I really am grateful I have a husband who is so supportive of everything I do, more on POM in a separate post).   This is what Zane and Maddie looked like when I got home - they had just eaten snacks and with a few cheerios on the floor it was time to vacuum.  Zane loves to follow the vacuum hose around whenever it is on.

Day 331 - 11/18

Look who's an expert on the stairs!  He loves to go up and has recently figured out how to get down.   He likes to scurry up the stairs when he sees me come after him.

Day 330

Zane can stand all by himself for a few seconds now and likes to practice walking - we just have to hold his hand and then he goes!   It won't be long now before he starts walking on his own.

Day 319 - 11/06

It is finally cool enough in Arizona to wear footsie pajamas!

I am so behind in posting all my Baby 365 photos, I have them but haven't gotten to posting - every once in a while I will find photos that catch my eye, and so I post them - like this one.  I love my little Zaney!

Day 314 - Saying Goodbye!

Nov 1 - Today was our last day in Utah.  It was cold in the morning, mix of snow and rain.  Here is Zane and his Grandma Beth - as we were about to leave for the airport.  It was such a fun week to spend with family!

Day 303 - 10/21

The kids got Zane in his Halloween costume and he did not want the hoodie! But they left the pants on because they thought it was cute and hilarious, and makes him all soft and cuddly.  So he styled this number yesterday - and then he found Collin's little cones.  He thought it was so funny when I put one on his head and one on mine.

Climber

The other day Allie and I were in the office (the room with the red wall in the background) looking at something on the computer -- while Zane was by us exploring.  Pretty soon we heard him "talking" really loud, and he sounded super excited so we stopped what we were doing and wondered what he was up to.   Allie freaked and so I quickly looked to see what the matter was.  She had found Zane like this.  I had mistakenly placed the "fighting bench" by the door.  He had used the bench to climb up and hang on the rails.  Allie then tried to get him off and he wouldn't let go of the rails.  He was holding on like crazy so I decided to take some photos.  We moved the bench promptly.  We've got a little climber!

Day 272 - 9/20

I was going through photos and this one made me laugh.  The little elf hat used to look so big on his head.  Now it barely fits.  Oh how time flies. Way too fast sometimes!

Day 285 - 10/3 Love that piano!

Zane likes to "play" the piano now that he's discovered that banging on the keys makes sounds.  I love how short he is next to the piano.

Day 286 - 10/4 Silly talking!

Zane is a little talker and here he is making silly faces while he's babbling.  I love this stage -- his little fun personality is beginning to show!

Day 280 - 9/28 9-Month Dr Appointment

Zane spent part of his morning at the Dr. today.  He weighed 17 lbs 13 oz - 10th percentile, 29.5 inches (just under the 90th percentile) - yep, he's tall! and his head measured in at 17 inches around.  He didn't get any shots but got poked for iron testing - and found that he needs a little more iron, so he needs to take iron supplement drops for the next two weeks.

Other milestones/notables I want to remember:
- he likes to tackle Maddie and kiss her all over her face (more like drool all over).
- he likes to stand up by my tub and turn the water on.  Pretty soon I will have to take the handles off so he won't burn himself.
- he likes buttered toast and fruit yogurt for breakfast, and fresh banana chunks too.
- he likes spaghetti, pizza, avocado and any yellow or orange vegetable for lunch and dinner.
- he still takes 2 long naps during the day.

Day 273 - 9/21

Collin loves to get Zane out of his crib in the morning before he leaves for school.  The minute he hears him, he asks if he could go get the baby.  So early that morning, Collin got him out as usual and "walked" him in to my room.  Then he stopped and let go of Zane.  I was waiting for Zane to drop to the floor and start crawling towards me but instead he kept standing.  Collin dangled his socks in front of Zane's face, and of course my room was not even ready to take bright photos (the blinds were still shut).  I hurried and opened the one closest to me, and grabbed my camera on the nightstand.  Luckily Zane was still standing there, laughing at the dangling socks for one minute!  Then he was done.
