Collin turned 9 on October 5th - and we were in CA for part of his birthday treat - and unfortunately on the road on the day of his birthday, but we made the most of it and spent the next week celebrating this kid. We started off travel day with Krispy Kreme doughnuts and opened a couple of presents. Since we were driving home he picked out where we stopped for lunch (Panda Express) and then when we got home he wanted Someburros for dinner.
Then on Sunday, we had the family over for a combined family celebration for Jace and him. They share the same birthday.
Homemade double chocolate oreo cupcakes instead of cake. They were so rich but good!
Then on Wednesday since cub scouts was cancelled because it was fall break, we had his friends over for a Lego Party.
He had a specific idea for how he wanted his birthday cake - down to the Lego truck that would sit on top of it. He helped me put the fondant on the cake the night before. Then put all the decorations on top and the candles too! Here is the finished product:

Guess how many? Lego pieces in the jar. Whoever came the closest won a prize.
Race to build this moon buggy - the kids got to take them home.
They also divided up into two groups, and built a tower as high as they could in 5 minutes. Collin's group won.

2. He is so sweet and innocent.
3. He is so kind and loves to play with his little brother. He is always the first to get him out of bed in the morning.
4. He loves to help Kevin grocery shop. and me too. He does everything for me at the store. So helpful!
5. He is smart and loves school - he is always on top of his homework and tests and I don't have to nag him about homework. He just does it. most of the time.
6. He is a good worker - finishes a task on his own!
7. He is super obedient - I truly hope he will continue to be that way til forever.
8. He is a good scripture reader and is the best speller at school because he comes across new words every day we read the scriptures.
9. He is independent and loves to ride his bike in the neighborhood with his friends - to the park or to cub scouts.
