Last Thursday, May 5th, was ALA's Science Fair which equals busy week for projects at our house!
The de-magnetized nail picked up staples when it was connected to the battery. The battery would get so hot after a few seconds of charging/magnetizing the nail. It was cool!
Question: Which of the two burgers will rot if left in room temperature for a few days?
Allie compared a McDonalds burger to an In-N-Out burger, which of the two will rot under normal room conditions. No refrigeration or special things done to it. McDonalds always gets bad reps on their burgers, so Allie guessed that the McDonalds burger wouldn't rot, but that the In-N-Out burger would get moldy. She was wrong! Both didn't rot (see for yourself!). Without condiments, and both exposed to air, the burgers just shrunk and lost moisture, I don't think it had anything to do with preservatives. Her project won 2nd Place at the Science Fair! She was so excited when we got there and saw that her project had a red ribbon attached to it. There were many who checked her project out because they were curious to see what the burgers looked like after 7 days! She got a bunch of candy bars and a movie ticket for her prize.

Very creative!
Awesome job Allie on your 2nd place. I had no idea. :) Very cool project too Collin.
It's gross imagining those burgers were left like that for days! I left one in my purse (yeah, talk about gross!) accidentally and switched purses so it could have been at least a week. It was hard as a rock. I didn't open the napkin to find out what happened to the meat.
Awesome projects!
I can't believe you used Inn-N-Out burger. Those are too yummy to waste (and pricier). Did you do the dollar burger from McDonald's? Burger King's dollar burger has double meat as well.
