After eating her bowl of rice krispies with milk, Maddie asked me for an apple.
Maddie: Can I have an apple please, mom?
Me: Oh sorry, we don't have any. But I have some nectarines. Would you like some?
Maddie: uh - huh. I want some appo-rines.
It made me smile.
