On July 23rd, we received news that Sis. Rupper, our neighbor in Utah, passed away unexpectedly. She had a stroke and had to be taken off life support. She was such a wonderful and sweet lady. It will be weird to go up next summer and not see her, or have Bro. Rupper (Rootbeer) be the same! The kids made Bro. Rootbeer some cards for Kevin to take when he went up for her funeral on Wednesday last week.
Allie and Collin are great illustrators! I love that they drew pictures of their memories of Sis. Rupper -- Collin remembers her as an avid gardener, Allie remembers the blackberry jam she used to send with us whenever we went to visit her home. Maddie drew two stick persons, and got tired after she decorated the card with dots.
